How to Stop Sugar Cravings

1. Keep Doing Your Habit

For example, if you usually drink soda, keep doing it like normal.

2. Use the Pavlok App

Open the Pavlok App and set a stopwatch to zap you every 10 seconds while you're doing the bad habit (like drinking soda).

You can find the stopwatch by going to Menu → Device Status → Timer & Stopwatch.

Set the zap strength to be uncomfortable but not too painful, just enough to make you not want to keep going.

3. Zap While Doing the Habit

Drink the soda while the Pavlok zaps you. Do this every time you drink soda for at least two weeks.

4. Train Your Brain

The goal is to make your brain connect the taste of soda (or sugar) with discomfort. Over time, Pavlok will help you start to avoid the habit naturally.

5. Replace the Bad Habit

It’s important to replace your bad habit with a healthier one, or you'll fall back into old patterns.

Ideas for Healthier Habits:

- Fill your empty soda can with water.

- Buy a cool water bottle and keep it with you. Sip water whenever you crave sugar.
