Right Side Buttons
Top-Enter-Bottom

The Back Button the single button on the left side of the device.

--->

It is generally used to go back or exit things.

The Up button is the Top Button on the right side of the Device. Used to move the cursor or list up.

The Enter is the Middle Button on the right side of the Device. It is generally used to enter or activate things.

The Down Button is the Bottom most Button on the right side of the Device. Used to move the cursor or list down.

These are all single presses.

Button Long Press

However, you may hold a button for a bit and feel a vibration.

You are now doing what we call a “long press”. Pressing a button for about 2 seconds is a “long press”. There may be special functionality that this will access.

One standard special function is a “long back”. This almost always moves you directly to the watch face - a quick way to get home. From the watch page however, the long back takes you directly to the Settings menu.

If you hold the button for about 3 seconds or more and there is no scrolling option, then the pavlok assumes your button press was a mistake and ignores it until you let go.

You can use this as a form of “undo” when you press a button and realize you didn’t want to.

Long-Enter will play a tune.

And long-Down doesn’t do anything by default (so you could program it to turn on the backlight, as any button press will do).

Double Tap

There is another useful method for the backlight: double tap.

If you take a finger and “double tap” on the watch, the backlight should be turned on. It will turn off again after a few seconds. It’s a handy way to turn on the backlight without having to push buttons and change screens. (rotating your wrist back and forth a few times does it too).

Scrolling

If you hold down a button, you may get scrolling functionality in some cases, like on menus. And it will tend to stop at the end of the menu.

Pressing the button again will “wrap” to the other end of the menu and let you scroll again.

Note that sometimes it is faster to get to an item near the bottom of the menu by going “up” from the top so you wrap directly to the bottom.

Watch Face Home
The watch face home screen. In general, the Pavlok comes back to displaying the watch face - the home screen. It will come back on it’s own if you are in a menu and don’t do anything for a while.

On the watch face, your buttons are a bit different. The “back” button takes you to the menu system, or “long back” to go directly to settings. The other 3 buttons are customizable.

Default Settings

As shipped the normal up-enter-down buttons give a vibe-zap-beep respectively.

Flashlight Mode

A long-up will turn on or off your current flashlight mode. Really handy sometimes.

Weekly Charge and Connect

p.s. to get you going, decide when you want to charge it each week (yes, I said week) and set a recurring alarm for then. It can take up to 90 minutes to charge fully. And don’t forget to connect to the app when you do.

That should give you enough to zip around your Pavlok interface efficiently and know what you are doing. Have fun.
