I was hoping to use this as a simple timed shock device to help me with lucid dreaming, all it would require is the ability to set a shock like every other hour to remind you to prompt yourself if you’re dreaming, but the alarm function has too much on top of it and requires you to access your phone to turn it off.

If there was a more “freestyle” approach to engaging stimulus it might be more useful, ie if I just want a small shock every other hour 24/7 without it being an alarm. Maybe that functionality exists and I just can’t find it.

You can do this by using the Timer or Stopwatch feature. It can send you a stimulus every hour to clue you to in to that you might be dreaming.
