In late December 2023, Pavlok introduced Pavlok Plus, bundling features such as
Poke a friend (Pavlok Unlocked)
Custom Habits behind a Subscription.
This subscription costs
$4.99 / month,
$29.99 / year,
or a one-time payment of $49.99 / Lifetime.
All Pavlok 2 (P2)
and
All Pavlok 3 (P3)
users automatically receive lifetime access to Pavlok Plus features without needing to pay, activated upon opening the app.
Pavlok 3 and Pavlok 2 Users DO NOT need a subscription for any features.
However, Shock Clock 3 (SC3) users will need do to subscribe to access these premium features.
Rationale and Customer Response Plan:
The rationale provided for differentiating access was that SC3 marketing materials primarily focused on wake-up and sleep features, while the features included in Pavlok Plus were originally intended for Pavlok 3 buyers.
The subscription fee for SC3 users was positioned as covering the approximate price difference between the SC3 and P3 devices and supporting ongoing feature development.
Early Bird Program
All Shock Clock 3 users who had purchased and connected their device before January 1st, 2024 get Lifetime Pavlok Plus access.
The Pavlok Plus subscription requirement for accessing the premium features now only applies to new Shock Clock 3 users who connected their device on or after January 1st, 2024.
