Battery Drain - Bug Report

Pavlok Solution Steps:

1. Please try another charging cable / plug outlet.

2. Update your Firmware to 6.8.0 or higher

2.1 We need about a week of data after you upgrade to see if your Battery is ok.

3. Pls send me the login email you use for the Pavlok App
3.1 I can check your Battery Health Remotely via your Palvok App Login Email.

4. Charge for 2 hours straight. This should yield 3-6 days of battery life, depending on usage. When on the charger, it'll emit a green light when fully charged - but we do still recommend the 2 hour charge regardless.

EXPLANATION:

Most likely explanation appears to be that this unit has somehow gotten itself into the "unexpected high drain" situation that the odd production unit has gotten into, in the past.

That's the problem which appears to consistently clear itself up if a unit is allowed to drain fully and then, because it actually tries to self-hibernate in order to preserve the clock, is then forced to drain even farther, either by being repeatedly woken up (press a button, see green LED flicker, then a few seconds later it probably hibernates again) until it's truly dead, or is left for a few days to drain fully.

If it's really fully dead, as shown by the fact pressing a button to wake it up doesn't show the green LED flicker that means it's awaking from hibernation and still has some residual charge, then it can be recharged fully and should work normally.

Give it as long as you can (1/2 day) and see how it goes afterwards.

It's a bit unreasonable to expect you as a user to deal with this.

Unless you are a very cooperative and friendly user the best bet is to replace the unit, and arrange for it to get to us for Analysis...

Please attach a screenshot of the order confirmation, including the reseller, date ordered and your info in the screenshot(s), so that we can look into a replacement? Thank you.

USER STORIES:

"Hello. I accidentally allowed the watch to die because i was unable to charge it. It vibrated for about 20 minutes straight before it died and now it wont turn on or hard reset. I tried multiple chargers and outlets for it. The lights wont come on to say its charging either.

I tried the recommended 5 hours and its been on it about 7 straight right now. "

"Device is fairly new but after hours on the charger, the battery appears dead. Hard to rely on a product for waking up when it is not reliable."

Hi. I don't know really know if this is due to the beta app or something wrong with the device itself, but I've noticed some excessive battery drain on my shock clock 3 when it's not worn. It doesn't seem to lose much battery overnight (without sleep tracking) but then when I take it off it'll drain nearly the entire battery during the day. It used to be that I had to charge it every 3-4 days, but now it's daily.

I have been noticing something off with my Shock Clock 3 though, the battery seems to fully deplete itself within a day now, though I'm not sure if that is being caused by the app or not.
